About Trish St John

Greetings from Vancouver, Canada. I’m Trish St John, founder of Sensual Solutions. The first of its kind in Canada, Sensual Solutions is a health resource that helps adults with physical disabilities access their bodies for pleasure. We provide education and information resources, as well as hands-on help in the form of facilitated or assisted sexual surrogacy. Clients travel from across Canada and the USA to come to Vancouver for intimacy coaching and facilitated sex. The service is open to straight and LGBTQ2S adults.

How did this happen? After an award-winning 20+ year career in the corporate sector as a “culture architect,” I needed a change and retired early. I wanted something new and exciting that made an immediate difference in peoples’ lives. I took a year-long break and applied for an advertised desk job at a licensed escort agency in Vancouver. During my time setting up appointments for sex workers, I felt the frustration of disabled adults, and parents of disabled adult children, as they called looking for help. There was nothing specifically designed in Vancouver or in Canada, to meet their needs. It wasn’t right; where was social justice? I was inspired. I left the agency and in October, 2011, Sensual Solutions became a reality.
